I've had many requests for a combination photography / Lightroom workflow workshop so this is just that.
We'll head out in the morning to a nearby location to photograph the end (hopefully) of winter. We'll discuss choosing a lens for the scene, using focus and aperture for maximum depth-of-field and exposing for dynamic range, without resorting to HDR. As usual, we go rain or shine - dress appropriately.
After a few hours of practical photography we'll head back to the studio to study my Lightroom workflow including downloading, 'preset processing' and extended processing of the best images. We'll discuss setting your exposure and Black Point, the effective use of the Recovery and Fill Light sliders as well as the proper (and creative) use of Vibrancy and Clarity.
You'll select one of your own images for processing and you'll leave a the end of the day with a 13x19" custom print output on the Epson Stylus Pro 4900 printer.
You may bring a computer with Lightroom installed so that you can follow along using your own images.
